The Fund for North Bennington invites you to a demonstration about recognizing and managing invasive plants. Nearly 80% of Vermont land is privately owned. So private landowners play a critical role in limiting damage caused by invasive species.
The demonstration will be given by Tom Groves, a botanist with a degree in wildlife biology. Tom has worked in the habitat-restoration field since 2013, assisting the New England Wildflower Society, the Vermont Land Trust, National Wildlife Refuges , Fish and Wildlife, Vermont Forest and Parks, municipalities and private landowners. He will answer any questions about the recent mulching of invasive plants near The Mile-Around Woods and Lake Paran, or about other matters related to The Fund's forest resilience project.
