Vote for Better Childcare! & Carve a Pumpkin

Past event
Oct 15, 2022, 12 to 3 PM

Hello Randolph Community Members,

I am an Orange County voter, Randolph resident, and mother to a wonderful, spunky infant. Although I had heard rumors of the Scotch Tape Childcare issue in Vermont, I did not understand the full force of the problem--and how essential childcare is to a thriving economy, parental wellbeing, and the community--until I became a parent myself.

As a mother, I am fed up and fired up! If you are too, please join me for this free event I am hosting. I will be sharing materials and information from Let's Grow Kids Action Network (LGKAN), an organization dedicated to improving childcare in Vermont NOW. New this year, LGKAN has a complete list of Childcare Advocates they are endorsing for the 2022 election!

Stop by our house to carve a pumpkin and share your story. I would love to meet & hear more from parents like myself. Also, come learn more about LGKAN, the candidates it endorses, & take the Childcare Voting Pledge. You can come and go as your day (or nap schedule) allows. I will also have some small pumpkins available for kiddos to paint as this is, of course, a kid-friendly event.

We are the first house on School Street, affectionately named the Pumpkin House. Saturday, October 15th from 12 pm to 3pm, as long as it isn't raining. Rain date TBD.

Thank you & let's get out to vote!
