On Friday, June 27, from 12:30-4:00pm the Craftsbury Outdoor Center is proud to host a local edition of Olympic Day, a world-wide celebration of the Olympic movement and its ideals as well as a promotion of healthy living. This event will be celebrated in over 160 countries this year- including right here in Craftsbury! The event will feature local Olympians, Ida Sargent and Susan Dunklee, sharing stories from Sochi, as well as summer Olympic hopefuls for Rio 2016. The event is free and designed for kids age 9-14. We will need a parent or guardian present to complete a registration form for each child at the 12:30 pm start. All activities will be at Hosmer Point, just down the road from the Craftsbury Outdoor Center. Kids should be ready to be outside and active all afternoon; we suggest you bring sunscreen, hats, comfortable athletic footwear, and a water bottle.
