FPF is full of people looking for someone to hem or alter a garment, but you could be altering your clothes yourself! This introductory course will teach you how to improve the fit of garments, replace a button, adjust a hem, insert a zipper, or other minor alterations to make your clothes last and work for you. Students are encouraged to bring 3 garments they would like to learn how to alter. The instructor will choose one of your three garments for this session. (Mending a tear is not a recommended example for an alteration, but we'll be holding mending workshops at a later date). You may not complete your alteration in this 1 ½ hr class but you will learn how to execute it and begin repairs. This class is taught by Tara Lynn Scheidet of Tara Lynn Bridal. Registration required, class fee $30.
