Please join us for traditional early American community singing - a cappella, 4-part harmony - from the Sacred Harp song book. Loaner books are available.
This music began in the late 1700s in early New England villages and then spread to the mid-West, the deep South, and now, all across North America, Europe, and Asia. It's been called "bluegrass Gregorian chanting," "18th century a cappella heavy metal," and "full-body, shout-it-out singing."
No experience is required. No auditions. We encourage participation, not performance. We simply love to sing together. All are welcome.
