Honeybee Steelband will be performing at the Waterbury Public Library, and is seeking participants to join "the Swarm"!
In addition to dancing to the music of this lively Caribbean steelband, participants are invited to join "the Swarm" in a theatrical die-in for the finale of the show, accompanied to the music of Rimsky-Korsakov's "Flight of the Bumblebee" - played by the steelpan ensemble.
"The Swarm" is an activist group dedicated to putting legislative action steps in place to protect bees and other pollinators - and they happen to love music, dance, and having fun as well! All ages welcome, families with young children are especially encouraged to participate - it is their future we are concerned for!
Noon to 1pm performance; 1 -2pm mix & mingle, with refreshments and Q&A. FREE admission.
The Waterbury Library is located at 2 North Main St., Waterbury, VT.
