Creative Bookmaking

co-taught by Jane Ploughman, bookmaker from New Haven and Susan Smereka, printmaker from Burlington 5 weeks – Wednesdays, October 19 – November16, 6 - 9 pm Learn the processes of paste paper, Gelli plate printing, and Japanese marbling; Suminagashi. These decorative papers will be incorporated into book structures such as single sheet, a single flag, and an accordion with a hardcover. In your final book project you will also work on the content (words, drawings, collage, etc) for your book. This workshop is open to all interested; printers, and bookmakers. All supplies are included.
