Trick-or-treat, bag of sweets, ghosts are walking down the street.

Hear ye, hear ye, all ghouls, goblins, witches and werewolves. Come one, come all to the Westford Common on Sunday, October 30, 2022 from 1pm to 3pm for the 3rd Annual Westford Halloween Walk!

This new tradition for Westford is a free spooky trick-or-treat walk for our Westford youngsters and young-at-heart folk, planned and (g)hosted by your Westford friends and neighbors. Volunteers from the community will conjure spooky décor for their trick-or-treat tables, which will be spread out on the Common. Bring your little boos to haunt the gazebo, where Westford Recreation and our local Girl Scouts will be hosting fun and games. Bring your kids and grand-kids if you dare, and come take an unworldly tour.

Please bring a nonperishable food item if you are able to support the Westford Food Shelf. Also make sure you vote for your favorite spooky table decorations before you leave. More to come on prizes for best tables, but they will be eye-popping! In the event of scary weather, this event will be moved to Westford Common Hall.

For the Westford Halloween Walk after party, visit Westford Common Hall from 3pm to 3:45pm for cider, refreshments, and a spooky storyteller performance. In collaboration with Westford Public Library and Westford Common Hall, The Traveling Storyteller will present Halloween themed stories, puppets, and wiggles, featuring Spookley, the Square Pumpkin!

We are still seeking spirited table (g)hosts to decorate a spooky table and provide candy to our little boos. We also are seeking donations of extra bags of candy (which can be dropped off at the Westford Public Library). Finally, we are seeking donations of pumpkins, corn stalks, and straw bales, or a general donation to offset costs.

The 3rd Annual Westford Halloween Walk has always been enjoyed and well attended by our little Westford ghouls and their families. It has always been made possible by the generosity and good Halloween vibes of the Westford community. Please consider hosting a table, making a donation, or simply joining us on Sunday 10/30/2022 from 1pm to 3pm to be part of this fun spooktacular new tradition.
