Join us on Monday, October 3rd from 5-7pm to raise a pint for the Mad River and celebrate Friends of the Mad River Director Corrie Miller, our Mad River Watch Volunteers, and the changing seasons. While enjoying fabulous music by Michael Hock!
For the last 8 1/2 years, Corrie has been Friends' executive director. During this time, she has led the organization to tackle important projects and take big steps for the health of the Mad River. Starting later in October, Corrie will be taking on a new role as the Aquatic Organism Passage Restoration Specialist at the Lake Champlain Basin Program. Let's send her off in style!
We also want to take a moment to celebrate this season's Mad River Watch volunteers. This summer, teams of volunteers visited their field sites across the watershed six times. Their careful observations and data collection gives us important insights about the river and the land that surrounds it.
All are welcome!
