FOLLOWING UP ON THE WORK OF GREEN UP DAY 2022, we'll remove trash from the Pine Street Barge Canal, helping this damaged but beautiful land along Lake Champlain continue the quiet task of healing itself.
Come for an hour or stay the whole time. Rain or shine!
This is rough land with lots of poison ivy. Wear sturdy shoes, socks and long pants Bring work gloves if you have them; we will have some on hand to use.
Bring water to drink, snacks if needed.
We'll be working in the south edge of the Barge Canal, so park at Burlington Electric and look for the red umbrella It's a good opportunity to connect with this land, and see how it is healing and to learn about the work of the Friends of the Barge Canal For more information: Contact Ruby 802-999-9633
