People are beginning to think summer and yard sales. Don't forget that this year, in addition to the businesses and non-profits having special events and sales, the Festival of the Islands (July 26-27) is encouraging everyone to have their own yard sale. Yard sales are loved as a summer activity to find rare treasures, unique items, or just have inexpensive fun on a beautiful day in the Islands. Your sales and that of your neighbors will bring lots of visitors to your town, promoting local businesses and funding non-profits, but they will also attract many first time visitors who are sure to fall in love with the area and return for repeat visits in the future.
