This weekend at St Albans City Hall, there will be a Growing Up Sale, which is a large indoor sale of children's toys and clothes from newborn to teens! During this event, the Junior League of Champlain Valley will be hosting a Diaper Drive for the Diaper Bank. Any and all sizes of diapers are greatly appreciated.
There is no government safety-net program that provides diapers to families in need. The Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf has said that 8-10 people per day request diapers, usually to be turned away. This means babies and toddlers are having to stay in dirty diapers. The Junior League's goal is to do what it can to help alleviate diaper need in this area.
The Junior League of Champlain Valley Diaper Bank has distributed 2 Million diapers and counting across Vermont since starting in 2018. With the support of our community, we hope to continue supporting our fellow Vermonters with this vital resource.
Growing Up Sale at St. Alban's City Hall will take place:
Friday 9/30 - 5:00pm to 8:00pm
Saturday 10/1 - 9:00am to 4:00pm
Sunday 10/2 - 9:00am to 2:00pm
If you would like to donate, but are unable to make it to St. Albans, please reach out to me on this post and I can arrange to pick up donations.
