Want to experience more depth and joy in life? Curious about how that might relate to meditation? Karuna Community Meditation is excited to announce a mindfulness series on Joy, Gratitude, and Generosity. In this six-part offering, we will explore how reflecting on our own generosity can support happiness and healing; practice meditations for cultivating joy, even in the midst of difficulty; and engage in joyful movements that can lift the spirits and brighten the heart.
Our Joy, Generosity, and Gratitude series begins this Sunday, October 2, from 10-11:15, and will meet weekly until Sunday, Nov 6. We meet at Jenna's House Community Center. Masks optional.
Karuna's core guiding values are spiritual inclusivity, compassion, nonharm, and generosity. Folks of all backgrounds, experiences and beliefs are invited to join, including those who are completely new to meditation, and those in and outside of the recovery community. Folks who are experiencing mental illness should ask their provider if meditation could be a supportive practice (or not) at this time.
Registration and commitment to the full series is greatly appreciated, though it's also ok to simply drop in. Donations of any type or size are gratefully received, and never obligatory.
Karuna Community Meditation is facilitated by Molly Zapp, who began practicing meditation in 2006, and is training to become a mindfulness meditation teacher in a program run by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach, under the mentorship of Devin Berry.
