The Northfield Conservation Commission will be hosting two more hikes this fall. On Sunday, Oct. 2nd we will be taking a hike on the lower forest and visiting Cheney Field, 1 or 2 slate quarries, the Norwich ski lift anchor and the Shaw Center trails. Meet at the Green Mountain medical center at 10:00 am. A good hike for kids and anybody wanting to become familiar with trails and access to the Town Forest.

On Sunday, October 9th we will be hiking the "ridge walk", which is basically hiking from Barrows Rd. to Crosstown Rd. via Paine Mountain and Irish Hill. Contact me if interested in this hike as there will be a car shuttle involved.
