North Country Ecstatic Dance Community and Sundara Yoga are joining forces to bring you a soul filled evening of connection and release as we transition into the new season.
Join DJ Flavya and Courtney Hayes for ecstatic dance, Giana Rose for easy yoga flow and Steven Scuderi for the sound bath so we may enter the darker months with a new sense of lightness.
Easy yoga flow with sound bowls: 4-5:30pm
Ecstatic dance and sound bath: 6-8pm
Vegan soup, cacao and water to nourish your body as well as your soul!
What is ecstatic dance, you say? It is an inclusive form of self expression set to a DJ led sound journey. It requires no dance moves, no experience and no physical abilities. What it does ask of you is to stay open to what comes up for you during the dance, to not judge yourself or others for their form of expression and to listen to what your body needs so you can let go of anything that's holding you back from your ultimate happiness.
Many feel a sense of profound happiness, or ecstasy, post dance (and for days after!) since they allowed themselves to let go and shake out all the junk that has been weighing them down. For some the dance is a therapy session, others their "church", others a place to let loose and get silly, others a cardio workout, others a place of peace and others a place of community.
