Everyone is invited to participate in the Ninth Annual Champlain Islands CROP Hunger Walk, 1 p.m., October 16, rain or shine. The Walk will begin and end at The Congregational Church of South Hero (CCSH) UCC, 24 So. St., So. Hero; 1 mile r/t.
Special guests: Kristin Bartle, stretch and center; Joe Pobieglo, bagpiper; Jordan Posner, CIDER Exec. will lead to Bayview Crossing; Guy Maguire, SHLT will lead to nearby Lakeshore Stabilization. Refreshments on return to CCSH.
25% of $s raised evenly split by Food for Thought and Champlain Islands Food Shelf; 75% to respond immediately and long-term to human needs nationally and globally. Raised in 2021, thanks to the generosity of walkers and their supporters: $9,058. 2022 goal: $9,500.
