This presentation will include information on consumer complaint trends and community impacts of the Consumer Assistance Program, review the Top 10 Scams reported to their office in 2021, and take a deeper dive into Imposter, Free Money, and Phishing scams. The presentation will also cover how robocalls make their way to you, how to reduce these calls, and how to protect yourself.
The Consumer Assistance Program provides a free impartial letter mediation service, takes scam reports to record scam trends, and provides education and awareness outreach to Vermonters. Co-sponsored with the Charlotte Library.
