SIGN-UPS DUE FRIDAY OCTOBER 7! The Friends of Stowe Jackson Arena invite adult hockey players (18+) to the second annual Don Post Memorial Co-Ed Hockey Tournament. The tournament is a fundraiser to support Stowe Youth Hockey's scholarship fund and other Stowe Arena programs.
This year's tournament will be held on Saturday, October 15th from 8am-5pm. We are planning to have 8 teams comprised of 13 players and one goalie. Each team will play one game in the morning and one game in the afternoon. Registrations are due Friday, October 7th and team assignments will be announced Tuesday, October 11th.
The cost to play is $75 but goalies play for free and on-line registration is now available via the Town of Stowe's website: https://secure.rec1.com/VT/stowe-vt/catalog.
Tournament Rules:
Teams will be formed using a blind draw by player level, similar to the Hyde Cup, and players will be contacted via email to receive their team assignment and game times. Games will consist of two 25-minute running time periods. Players will be permitted to score one goal per period. No slap shots and no checking of any kind. However, in honor of Don, hanging by the blue line will be encouraged. 😊
The Friends of Stowe Jackson Arena is a 501(c)(3) organization. All donations made to the Friends are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
