Rokeby Museum is seeking actors! Spirits of Rokeby is a short-form, low commitment production. Background: the historic owners of Rokeby were advocates of Spiritualism and held séances in the home. The séance transcripts have been adapted into a script, recreating visitations that occurred 180 years ago in the same home. The audience receives a history talk from staff about Spiritualism before entering the home where costumed actors, lights and sound bring the séances to life.
Performances are 20 minutes with 30 minutes break between. 5 performances Friday evening, 10/28, and 8 performances on Saturday, 10/29 with a dinner break. 5 rehearsals in Oct. plus a dress rehearsal show week.
