The Northeast Kingdom and St Johnsbury has an abundance of views from which to capture on canvas and what better way to do that than to learn to paint from nature? Again I'm offering an enlightening course on painting en plein air for beginner and intermediate levels. If you have never ever painted before or have already been bitten by the bug, you will be amazed at the tips and tricks that you'll learn-- everything from how to pack your gear to composition, color theory, thumbnail sketches, completion and more. For each of the 5 weeks of the class, I will take you to some favorite locations and some new ones I've discovered to see what Fall effects we can capture on canvas. These "sketches" you will then later work on enlarging and perfecting in the studio when the weather turns too cold to paint out. I'll be demonstrating some techniques that were fundamental to my growth process and I'm sure they will be to you, too. This is a great way to meet other artists with the same passion and exchange ideas. The class is small so there is individual attention but there are only a few spots remaining. Please join us to uncover one of the best and most enjoyable pastimes for any age. I'll be anxious to hear from you so brush up your brushes and Happy Painting!
