The Fletcher Free Library hosts the Green Mountain Book Festival this weekend: Saturday, September 24 and Sunday, September 25 in Burlington.
This weekend-long celebration, brings together authors, poets, journalists and graphic novelists to share the joys and benefits of reading, writing and free expression.
Nearly all programs are free and open to the public with the exception of the keynote talk by Ruth Ozeki at Contois Auditorium. The Festival features a slate of over 60 authors and poets, including 2021 Vermont Book Award winners Shanta Lee Gander (GHETTOCLAUSTROPHOBIA: Dreamin of Mama While Trying to Speak Woman in Woke Tongues) and Melanie Finn (The Hare). **Both of these books are available to borrow at the Starksboro Public Library.
And our little library is providing lots of books for a book sale on site in the newly reburbished City Hall Park! Sale co-sponsored with the Burlington Writers Workshop.
