Hey Neighbors,
The first time I heard about this story everything in me lit up. The courage and compassion it takes to "jump" into the unknown with everything...it's truly an inspirational film!
Come out this Saturday night (24th), 7-9:30pm, at Main Street Landing Performing Arts to see filmmaker Paul MacGowan's documentary film , Wandering...But not Lost, an intimate account of Tibetan Buddhist teacher, Mingyur Rinpoche's 4 1⁄2 year wandering retreat in Nepal and India.
Renowned meditation master, teacher, and author Mingyur Rinpoche secretly left his monastery in India late one evening to begin a wandering retreat, following an ancient tradition of nomadic yogis.
Begging for food and money, living on the street, in caves and hermitages, he used the challenging situations of his life as a wandering yogi to deepen his meditation. He returned 4 1⁄2 years later.
This film is an intimate account of his journey. A discussion with the Director, Paul MacGowan, will follow the film.
