Come out to Hugo's on Tuesday October 25th 7-9pm for an evening of politics, solidarity & comedy!

Hello All! Thank you so much for coming out to the benefit for Brigid Alliance on August 27th. We raised $4,400 & counting to assist those needing to travel for out of state abortion care.

Please join me again Tuesday night, 10/25 at Hugo's Bar on Main St with Becca Balint, and the 4 comedians Zoe Bernstein, Max Higgins, Kathleen Kanz, & Tracy Dolan! There will be a silent auction and Hugo's will be donating a portion of all bar & restaurant proceeds from this event to the Brigid Alliance.

This organization funds food, lodging and transportation for those needing out of state abortion care. They have been around for a good while and already have a tried & true system of navigating misogynistic and deadly abortion bans. They have primarily assisted impoverished women of color 15 weeks pregnant or more. At this point in the pregnancy, abortions are usually sought for fetal abnormalities and/or risk to the life of the mother.

With the current rolling out across the country, the waiting lists for abortion care in states where this remains legal have grown astronomically. Many more will become part of the 15 week pregnant demographic, even if they sought care at 6 weeks.

In such dark times, comedic relief is crucial for keeping our spirits high enough to do the work that needs doing.
Come on out in laughter & solidarity for a pre-Halloween evening with purpose.

No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please give generously!
