MISSISQUOI RIVER BASIN ASSOSCIATION CELEBRATING 25 YEARS OF SUCCESSES
The Missisquoi River Basin Association (MRBA) is thrilled to announce our upcoming celebration in honor of twenty-five years of partnerships and conservation successes. MRBA Executive Director Lindsey Wight says: "The true beginnings of community-led organizations are hard to pin down, but we believe that the MRBA was first officially called by that name in 1996- which means that last year was our 25th year of working to improve the health of and relationship with our streams and rivers. Since last year was…odd, to say the least, we are celebrating this year. Join us to reflect back and plan for the future."
MRBA Community Relations Coordinator Corrina King says: "The event is going to be a night to remember! We are looking forward to an amazing dinner by chefs at the Phoenix House, an open bar, swag bag filled with items from local artisans, guest speaker: Karrie Thomas, the Executive Director of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail, live music by the band Old Friends, photo booth, door prizes, displays from partner organizations, bonfire, sundae bar, silent auction and so much more."
The MRBA's 25th Celebration is scheduled for Saturday October 1st, 2022 starting at 4:00pm at the Pigeon Hill Farm/ Barn Owl Bistro & Goods in East Berkshire, VT.
