Hi everyone, I will be teaching a beginner yoga class on Wednesday evening to kick off this benefit series. Please join us no matter what your yoga background. Details follow-
~~~~~~~~~
Yoga for Hunger! 1 in 7 Vermonters are food insecure. This means that they are unsure of where their next meal will come from and are oftentimes forced to make less nutritious choices for themselves and their children.
Through a unique partnership with area medical centers, the Farm at VYCC grows and distributes farm-fresh produce to Vermonters in need all season long! This year we will provide 12 weeks of produce & poultry to 300 Central Vermont families.
How can you help? Join us for a 6-week beginner yoga series at the West Monitor Barn in Richmond, home of the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps (VYCC) and the Farm at VYCC. Try one class or take them all! Classes will take place Wednesday evenings on the land. A rain site is provided in the barn.
Class dates: Wednesdays 8/7, 8/14, 8/21, 8/28/, 9/4 & 9/11 from 6-7:30 pm. $10 per class or $55 for 6 classes when you pre-register (cash or personal checks only). Additional donations greatly appreciated.
Please bring water, comfortable clothing & a yoga mat. Contact Food Security Coordinator Olivia Bulger at 802-734-8490 or Olivia.Bulger@vycc.org to pre-register or with questions. Together we can build a food-secure Vermont!
