The merger study committee continues its work on planning for public outreach to inform residents about the process, the results, and the recommendation to move forward with a vote to merge the two districts on November 8th.
The meeting will be at Mt Abe high school, and can also be accessed via Zoom:

The agenda, which can be found here:

will include a presentation on MAUSD transportation if it is available by then.
As some of you already know, I will be running for the board of the new district -- Addison North School District -- if it is approved by the voters. I would encourage you to consider doing so as well. Information about everything to do with the merger and our study over the past months (year+!) can be found at this website:
https://www.anwsd.org/anwsd-mausd-merger-study-committee.php
(If your town has more than one seat on the proposed school board, I recommend calling your town clerk to see if anyone else is running, because you will need to specify a term. They start out different lengths in order to stagger the appointments, so the seat could be for a term of 1, 2, or 3 years.)
Stay tuned for more information about the merger vote and the consequences of a yes or no vote for our towns and children.
And, on a different subject, I hope to see many of you at Ferrisburgh Day on Saturday (I'll be bringing my fiddle and Erik will be there with his accordion between 3-5pm, at least that's the plan!)
