If you happen to drive by the window of Black Meadow Gallery (Merchant's Row, Randolph), or have been brave enough to stop by during gallery hours or Randolph's last two First Friday events, you may have noticed the (beautiful to some and alarming to others) prints hanging on the gallery walls. These large and haunting portraits of skulls, demons, and other monsters were conjured up by South Royalton based artist Njoroge.
Njoroge began creating artwork at a very young age and has actively studied sketching, painting, makeup and mask building. This array of talent has taken him all over the world including as a contestant on the SYFY reality TV show Face-Off, where contestants compete by building massive horror/science fiction based makeup, props, and masks. Njoroge's work has been seen by thousands but his show D4rkside Vermont is his first solo exhibit.
All are invited to meet the extremely talented Njoroge and see this uniquely dissolute exhibit on Saturday, September 17 from 5:30p until 7pm at Black Meadow Gallery, 18 Merchants Row, Randolph. Charcuterie and snacks will be served.
