Robert Mermin, founder of Circus Smirkus, trained with legendary mime Marcel Marceau, before embarking on a 40 year career in the theater and circus world. He will talk about how he adapts basic patomime and circus techniques to help people with Parkinson;s cope with movement limitations. These techniques include visualization, body language, non-verbal communication, articulation of gesture, and creative use of imagery and space.
Rob will discuss his experiences and demonstrate fun methods and tricks he uses in his workshops.
