The Braintree Historical Society and the organizers of the popular Braintree Bluegrass Brunch are excited to announce the first annual Community Cider Pressing & Potluck at the Braintree Hill Meetinghouse on October 1 from 11am - 5pm.
The event will feature a potluck meal starting at 12 pm, hands on apple pressing demonstrations with a variety of presses, a 1 O'Clock presentation by local cider maker and apple aficionado Lin Brown, cider samples, music around the fire, yard games and tours of the Braintree Historical Society Museum. You will have the opportunity to press your own apples into cider. So start collecting soon. Have your own cider press? Bring it along!
The event is free and open to all with donations being accepted to support ongoing preservation work at the 1845 Meetinghouse. Folks are encouraged to bring their own washed apples for pressing, clean containers for their cider, musical instruments, and a potluck dish to share if they are able.
The address of the Meetinghouse is 2756 Braintree Hill Road. For more information about this event please contact Jackson Evans at 802-345-5684 or braintreevthistoricalsociety@gmail.com. Or visit our website: https://www.braintreehistoricalsociety.org/events/cider
