Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation (VT DEC) are holding a public meeting for users of Pownal Fire District #2 (PFD #2) public water system and Pownal residents at the following date, time, and place:

Tuesday September 27, 2022. 6:00 to 7:00 pm
Pownal Rescue Squad Building, 22 Ladd Road Pownal, VT 05261

PFD #2 recently received a permit to construct an upgraded water treatment system to permanently continue removing PFAS chemicals from the well water source. This upgrade is required by the draft Corrective Action Plan (CAP) to address PFAS in groundwater. This meeting is being held in conjunction with a formal public comment period on the CAP which now closes on October 4, 2022.
