Essex Jericho Underhill Food Shelf will hold a food distribution this Saturday, September 17 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Route 15, Jericho, from 9:30 to 10:30 am.

People from nearby communities are welcome to come. This Food Shelf is sponsored by 11 local churches and many other members of the community. Donations this week include potatoes grown by Master Gardeners at the Deborah Rawson Memorial Library, Macintosh apples from Chapin Orchard, and produce from Jericho Settlers Farm.

Thank you to those who contribute staples through their churches or through bins at the Jericho Market, Price Chopper-Essex and Hannaford-Essex. If you would like to contribute, current needs include peanut butter, spaghetti and sauce, other tomato products, baked beans and other canned ready to eat meals.
