As in the past, Fire and Rescue will be serving lunch. They also oversee a parade which starts in the Old Lantern parking lot on Greenbush Road and proceeds up Greenbush to Ferry Road, turning east and passing by the Town Green around 11 a.m. Parade participants should be at the Old Lantern by 10:30 a.m. All are welcome—marchers (costumes encouraged), tractors and fire engines, floats, bikes, scooters, skateboards—the more imaginative the better! As Fire Chief Chris Davis always says, “Whatever shows up goes down the road. The more the merrier.”
The Annual Library Book sale opens at 11 a.m..

The Charlotte Children's Center will be hosting child- appropriate events on the Center grounds starting at 10 a.m. and ending at 1 p.m. in celebration of its 30th Anniversary.
Kris Gerson and Abby Foulk will be enlisting some of the CCS 2nd graders to monitor the waste disposal into appropriate bins. Please think Green. Bring cloth bags and non-disposable water and drink containers.
