The Library is proud to impartially inform the community on its choices for local government. We invite you to attend the Meet the Candidates Forum. We also encourage you to ask questions.
Friday, September 23 at 7pm via Zoom
Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87124815394
The zoom audience will be muted, maximizing time for candidates to answer questions.
This event will be recorded by LCATV and will be available to watch at a later time
Meet the two people running for our local state representative:
Julia Andrews (D) and Allison Duquette (R)
Each candidate will have time to introduce themselves and speak about their priorities for the upcoming term. This is not a debate. It is an informative meeting that will help voters get to know each candidate better. They will also answer pre-submitted questions.
Here is how you can ask questions:
1. For transparency sake - We are using a polling app called slido. The slido app also has a way for people to prioritize questions, so you can "vote" for questions even if you don't ask any and move some to the top of the list. This helps to get the most popular questions answered during our forum. To ask a question or see what others are asking, click on https://app.sli.do/event/tGoaieNxnnopknqwc8gr8B/live/questions
2. If that seems too challenging, please email westfordpubliclibrary@gmail.com with your question or call us at 802-878-5639 and I will add it to the slido app for others to see.
Question format:
Please enter the NAME of the candidate or ALL first before your question so I know who to ask. (ex. ALL - What is your favorite color? or JULIA - What pets do you have?)
Questions can be submitted through September 21. Questions will be shared with the candidates.
If you submit a question via email, you may get an out of office response, as I am away at a conference for the rest of the week but, be assured, that your question will be included.
