Calling all birders and aspiring birders! Gather at Rokeby Museum during Ferrisburgh Days and learn about an exciting app that can enhance your birding experience and enable you to be a citizen scientist contributing valuable information to a worldwide database used by conservation scientists. The famed Cornell Lab of Ornithology developed the eBird program, which can be used on a PC, tablet, android or smartphone and by people at all levels of computer literacy and birding experience. Jacob Crawford of Green Mountain Audubon and Dean Leary of Rokeby Museum will introduce you to eBird and show how this easy-to-use program can help you, and how you can help science. All you need is a well-charged electronic device and binoculars if you wish. Rokeby Museum is located at 4334 Route 7 in Ferrisburgh.
