Community Circle at the Winooski Library

Past event
Sep 15, 2022, 6 to 7 PM

Join us on the third Thursday of every month at the Winooski Memorial Library for our Community Circle! Facilitated by Kayla Loving, Restorative Justice Coordinator at Spectrum Youth & Family Services, the circle is one of the most well-known restorative justice practices.

We will eat together and sit in circle to talk about current events and for our next meeting, discuss community space needs in Winooski, what these spaces might look like, and the role of the O'Brien Community Center going forward.

If you have an interest in getting to know your neighbors on a deeper level, learning about restorative justice, and organizing for change, consider joining us. Everyone is welcome. Interpretation can be provided if we are notified ahead of time.

"Restorative justice is a philosophy and set of practices, rooted in indigenous teachings, that emphasize our interconnection by repairing relationships when harm occurs while proactively building and maintaining relationships to prevent future harm" (Amplify RJ).

Questions about this program can be sent to Nate Eddy, Library Director: 802 655 6424 / neddy@winooskivt.gov
