Hardwick Neurodiverse Family Networking

Past event
Oct 18, 2022, 6 to 8 PM

For Hardwick-area Youth and Families who learn and think differently! On September 20th, from 6-8 P.M., at the GRACE/Old Firehouse building downtown, Vermont Learning-Support Initiative is starting a weekly social/informational gathering for parents and their older kids (10+) who may be having trouble learning. Our first two meetings will feature Natalie Mannherz, an occupational therapist and mom recently returned home to Vermont, who will discuss home-based approaches to helping young folks manage the decisions and expectations they experience in school and in life. She will offer an overview of executive functioning and cognitive regulation at the first meeting, and a hands-on practice opportunity for families on September 27th.

This networking opportunity is provided to the community free of charge, thanks to funding provided by The Vermont Community Foundation and generous local donors. Refreshments will be served! If your kid is dealing with learning challenges, you are not alone--join us on the 20th and 27th, and beyond!

Questions? Please contact Brad Smith, VLSI director, by responding to this post or at bsmith@vermontlearningsupport.org. Hope to see you next week!
