Hello, Please Join the Richmond Historical Society for another early evening of Music on the Round Church Lawn. Sunday October Second, we are welcoming one of the areas most exciting bluegrass groups, Wild Branch, for an evening of music and merriment.
Wild Branch is a bluegrass band from Vermont. With a focus on instrumental bluegrass, fiddle tunes, and old-time music, the band also features traditional bluegrass rhythm and vocal harmony. The band currently features Dan Johnson on guitar and lead vocals, Josh Halman (Queen City Cut Ups) on mandolin and tenor, Adam Frehm (Hot Pickin' Party) on dobro, Joe Cleary (Modern Grass Quintet) on fiddle, and Eli Goldman (Lillian and the Muses, Queen City Cut Ups) on bass.
There will be parking available on site and overflow cars can park in the town designated lots. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at a very reasonable cost. Bring blankets or chairs, dancing shoes and smiling faces. We do ask for you to leave alcoholic drinks and furry friends at home.
This event is free and encouraged for all ages to join. If you can donate a suggested donation of $10 per person to the Richmond Historical Society will be gladly accepted at the entrance gates and throughout the evening. Any proceeds from this evening will help in the upkeep of the Round Church so our community can enjoy it for generations to come.
Gates will open at 4:30 pm music starts @5 and we will be closing down around 7:30.
The music is planned to take place on the lawn in front of the church. In case of inclement weather, the concert may be moved inside the church or cancelled if the weather is severe. If we move the concert inside, we will not be able to serve food. If we do move inside or cancel there will be an announcement on Front Porch Forum and an update on the Round Church Website as well. If indoors we ask that all visitors treat the building with care and help your kiddos do the same.
