You're invited to Millard's Hancock Mountain red barn at 2333 VT Route 100N, Hancock VT 05748 for guided walks by folks from 4 NPOs: White River Partnership on the importance of river riparian zones, Vermont Coverts-Woodlands for Wildlife on river flyways, Vermont River Conservancy on floodplains protecting structures, and Vermont Woodlands Association on climate challenges to forest. The day will include a portable sawmill demonstration by Sustainable Earth Project LLC using recently harvested logs. And there are bats in the barn! Plenty of parking. Refreshments provided.
