In light of the nasty weather in store on Tuesday, we are postponing the ARPA Ice Cream Community Input Event planned for Tuesday evening and moving it to Wednesday, Sept. 14 from 6:00 - 8:00. Same delicious Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, different day. Below is the original post by Jay Furr regarding this event.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Respectfully Submitted,

==================
Here is the original post from Jay Furr about this event:
The town of Richmond has been granted $1.2 million by the federal government to aid in Covid-19 recovery, facilitate economic development, and/or fund special projects. The money must be allocated by the end of 2024 and spent by the end of 2026. We (the Selectboard) do not want to take this one-time windfall and just up and spend it on items in the current budget. The funds are intended to provide a spark to the community and, therefore, we need ideas from the community as to how they would like to see some or all of the funds spent.
The first of three public forums in September was held on Saturday at noon at the Riverview Commons playground at the corner of Field Lane and Meadow Lane. All Richmond residents were welcome. FREE ICE CREAM will be provided to all. We want and need your ideas.
Another event will be held on Wednesday evening at the Richmond Bandshell at 6 pm (again, with free ice cream). A third will be held at the Richmond Library on Wednesday the 28th at 7:00 pm. Others may be scheduled down the road but that's it for September.
Attendance at these forums is NOT REQUIRED for idea submission. While we will be gathering ideas at these events, you can also submit your ideas at the town ARPA website:
