Want your 5–17 year old to grow in confidence, be a goal-getter, and gain a passion for the outdoors? Join the program that will prepare your child for life!

Local scouts are continuing to "do their best" at this year's kick-off and recruiting events on Sunday, September 18 from 3–4:30pm. Pack 447 (boys and girls ages 5–11) will be at the Vernon Rec Center (behind the pavilion) at 607 Pond Street, and Troop 405 (boys and girls ages 12-17) will be located at the Huckle Hill Baseball Field, Huckle Hill Road, Vernon. Come and experience scouting as we kick off the year with fun activities and discuss upcoming events such as hiking, camping, and community service projects.

For more than 100 years, the programs of the Boy Scouts of America have helped build future leaders by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun and adventure in the outdoors. Green Mountain Council believes that hope rests on preparing young people for life.
