Join us at new new art studio at 4 Howard St. Suite I-17 for this woodblock printmaking weekend workshop. September 24 and 25 from 10 to 4 pm. You will the fundamentals of woodblock printing. with Janet Cathey. The focus will be on learning the processes involved in creating two-color woodcut prints. You will explore mark-making on wood blocks using many types of gouges, and explore layering ink colors. You'll prepare a design, cut it into wood, ink, and print. You will learn how to properly register more than one carved block, thus layering ink colors, and creating more rich and colorful images.
