Medication Abortion: How Does It Work? Why Is It Safe? What's Its Role in Abortion Care and Access After Roe?
On Zoom: uppervalleydsa.org/abortionrights (passcode UVDSA)
Join Dr. Renee Johannensen for this online educational event about "Plan C," telehealth abortion provision, and its role in safeguarding reproductive justice after Roe.
Dr. Johannensen is an Ob/Gyn who has provided family planning and abortion care for more than 25 years in 4 states, and who also teaches future doctors. She is involved with the ongoing work of Plan C (plancpills.org) and other new abortion provision organizations. Although her clinic in Montgomery, Alabama, was shuttered after the overturn of Roe, she is determined to continue to help women, families, and all individuals in need of abortion care in the post-Roe United States.
This forum, including time for Q&A, is sponsored by Upper Valley for Abortion Rights, a grassroots coalition of organizations dedicated to defending abortion access and expanding reproductive justice across Vermont and New Hampshire. UV4AR partners include Dartmouth GWISE (Graduate Women in Science and Engineering), Rights & Democracy NH & VT, SWORRD (Student Workers Organized for Reproductive Rights at Dartmouth), the Sunrise Movement at Dartmouth, SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice), Upper Valley DSA, and Central Vermont DSA. Come learn and organize with us!
