This fall, Milk with Dignity celebrates its fifth anniversary! It has been nearly five years since dairy farmworkers and Ben & Jerry's CEO stood together to sign the first Milk with Dignity agreement. This historic moment launched the Program and brought worker-driven social responsibility to the dairy industry.

On 9/24, join us at Highland Center for the Arts in Greensboro, VT for a celebration event and fundraiser. Buy your ticket today! https://highlandartsvt.org/events/11990/

Spend an afternoon in the heart of the Northeast Kingdom and celebrate five years since a groundbreaking agreement between Migrant Justice and Ben & Jerry's launched the dairy industry's first worker-driven social responsibility program, Milk With Dignity.

The afternoon festivities include live music featuring Pia Zapata, Kat Wright, and Tish Hinojosa, a photo gallery exhibition and presentations from Milk with Dignity Program participants. Enjoy a dinner of authentic Mexican food, Hill Farmstead brews & cocktails featuring Barr Hill spirits, and free Ben & Jerry's ice cream.

Proceeds benefit the Milk with Dignity Standards Council.

Kat Wright possesses a voice that's equal parts delicate and powerful. Add to that voice enough stage presence to tame lions, and the combination proves immediately enchanting. There's soul flowing in and out of her music; it's funky in spots and beautiful all over. "And it hurts a little…like it should".

Tish Hinojosa is a singer-songwriter from Austin, Texas. Hinojosa's blend of folk, country, Latino, and pop has an undeniable far reaching appeal, garnering her accolades such as a White House concert at the invitation of President and Mrs. Clinton and teaming up with artists such as Joan Baez, Booker T. Jones, Flaco Jimenez, Pete Seeger, and Dwight Yoakam.

Pia Zapata is a musician from Valparaiso, Chile. She mixes ambient and experimental sounds with hints of rock, folk, and pop, all inspired by themes both deep and quotidian, with a poetic touch filled with colors and images.

Terry J. Allen is a photographer and investigative reporter/editor who has covered local and international politics and health and science issues. Her work has appeared in the Guardian, Boston Globe, Times Argus, Harper's, the Nation.com, Salon.com, and New Scientist. She has been an editor at Amnesty International, In These Times, and Corpwatch.com.
