Get Ready, Set …. Pull!
Pulled Pork that is! The 3rd Annual Argyle “Pulled Pork BBQ” is ready and set to bring you the slow cooked, mouthwatering meal provided by Brum's Port-A-Que and sponsored by ACET – Argyle Community Enhancement Team.
This event is being held again with the 5TH ANNUAL CARL LUFKIN MEMORIAL "PULL FOR A CURE" on July 12th in the field off Rt. 40 behind Taxes With A View. The BBQ meal will be served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.
We have take-out if that is more convenient. We suggest purchasing advance tickets for the BBQ ($12.50 pp) to help us plan accordingly. They can be purchased from Michelle at 638-8482.
All proceeds from the BBQ go to the American Cancer Society. We are all volunteers giving our time to this cause that touches us all in one way or another.
In 2012 the first year of the BBQ we turn over $978 to American Cancer Society. In 2013 we presented $1581. It just keeps getting better!
If you would like to donate to help defray costs, contact Michelle 638-8482 or Joanne 638-8929 . Monetary donations will be used to purchase paper products, utensils, food and drinks. If you like, water and soda can be purchased and left with Michelle or Joanne.
Not only will the event be featuring garden tractors and ATV’s but this year a TRUCK PULL will be running simultaneously. The Lufkin Family will be providing food all day, a Bounce House, Raffles, Craft Sale and armers Market. A great family day for sure. Check out the Facebook page- Pull for a Cure.
In the past the "Pull for a Cure" and Argyle BBQ have received overwhelming support from our community. We appreciate and thank you! We are looking forward to seeing you again this year.
