Between Aug. 23 and Aug 28, seven paintings by seven different local artists were stolen from the Chapel Gallery at Bethany Church. Needless to say, this has been a difficult loss for the artists. To show support for the artists, Bethany Center is hosting an open house in the gallery on Friday, September 16 from 5:30-7 pm. Facsimiles of the missing art are hung in place of the originals, along with many of the other pieces that were not taken. We hope the wider Montpelier community will take this opportunity to visit the gallery and show support for the artists. There will also be an opportunity to contribute to a fund to reimburse the artists for their losses.
