Come to the Mud City Forest School Meet and Greet

1600 Cole Hill Rd, Morrisville.
Meet our teachers:
Emily Porter-Goff (she/her), PhD, expert in freshwater ecology, has been educating youth on wildlife ecology and conservation for 15 years.
Willow Longo (she/her), MA, VT Highly Qualified teacher (grades 7-12), naturalist, artist, and writer who has been working with youth for more than a decade.
Mud City Forest School will be a once-a-week full-day program entirely outdoors at the beautiful Lamoille County Nature Center located in Morrisville, and we acknowledge that this land is the traditional land of the Nulhegan Band of the Coosuk Abenaki Nation. The day would consist of outdoor skills such as fire-building, forest safety and weather prediction. We would also work on identifying plants, building outdoor structures, and herbal medicine.
Students will also play forest games, complete projects including art, engineering, math and writing, explore science (ecology, water quality testing and assessments, taxonomy), and free exploration in nature.
Ages: 8-12
The days would run from 9am-3pm Tuesdays, rain or shine
Cost: $630 nine week session
