Mea culpa, friends and neighbors. In an effort to ensure we effectively announced the upcoming outdoor movie showing of Soul, I irresponsibly copy/pasted the body from our previous event. As such, the subject line and date/time entry in the FPF calendar is accurate but the body still says we're showing The Princess Bride.
We will NOT be watching The Princess Bride for a second time. As much as I enjoy that film, it would be a detriment to our community and would tarnish the Reading Recreation Committee name to try and pass off an encore presentation as an event worthy of your attendance.
We WILL be watching Soul, produced by Pixar and distributed by Disney, featuring a score by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (of Nine Inch Nails fame, near and dear to my heart) and Jon Batiste. If you told me pre-teen me, back in the 90's, that the band I was getting into at the top of the industrial music scene would be scoring a Disney film, I would not have believed you. The times, they are a-changin'… but I digress.
Join us Friday night at Puddledock Park. It's the lovely space next to the Reading Public Library. 7:45, bring a chair, some blankets, and snacks. Tony will be providing delicious popcorn as per usual.
I promise I have proofed the body of this message.
