The November 1 deadline for ARPA applications is fast approaching. Applications are available on the Wallingford Town website and in print from Town Administrator Sandi Switzer. We've heard lots of good ideas discussed, but they can't be considered without an application. It is possible to apply for a project already underway or a purchase already made. If the application is approved, funds can be reimbursed for money already spent. All applications become part of the public record.
At the next meeting at 6:30, September 27th, the committee will review applications received to date for completeness. Particular attention will be paid to efforts shown in search of other available funding and the submission of contractor cost estimates.
Beginning with the November 15th meeting, the ARPA Committee members will individually review and evaluate applications according to the developed matrix. After discussion of the individual scores, they will be averaged into committee scores. The committee will then decide upon final recommendations to make to the Selectboard.
