ARPA Public Information Session and Ideas Forum

Past event
Sep 10, 2022, 12 to 1 PM

The town of Richmond has been granted $1.2 million by the federal government to aid in Covid-19 recovery, facilitate economic development, and/or fund special projects. The money must be allocated by the end of 2024 and spent by the end of 2026.

We (the Selectboard) do not want to take this one-time windfall and just up and spend it on items in the current budget. The funds are intended to provide a spark to the community and, therefore, we need ideas from the community as to how they would like to see some or all of the funds spent.

Public Forums to gather feedback on how to spend the funds will be held on:

September 10 - in-person at noon at Riverview Commons Field Lane Playground. Free ice cream will be provided! Please bring your own chair, beach towel, etcetera.

September 13 - in-person at 6pm at the Bandshell at Volunteers' Green. Free ice cream will be provided at this event too! Please bring your own chair, beach towel, etcetera.

September 28 - in-person and via Zoom at 7pm at the Richmond Free Library. (We're still working on what the snacks will be. )

Attendance at these forums is NOT REQUIRED for idea submission. While we will be gathering ideas at these events, you can also submit your ideas at the town ARPA website:
