There are those moments in our lives when we're asked to jump, with no possibility of a net beneath us. Most of us wade around these moments waiting for confirmation that it's the "right choice" and when that confirmation never comes, neither does the jump. When I first heard about Mingyur Rinpoche's 4.5 yr wandering retreat years ago, something in me was lit on fire. This documentary shares an intimate account of his journey. It inspired me then and still inspires me today. A discussion with the Director, former Vermonter Paul MacGowan, will follow the film.

"Renowned meditation master, teacher, and author Mingyur Rinpoche secretly left his monastery in India late one evening to begin a wandering retreat, following an ancient tradition of nomadic yogis. Begging for food and money, living on the street, in caves and hermitages, he used the challenging situations of his life as a wandering yogi to deepen his meditation. He returned 4 1⁄2 years later."
